When Diageo wanted launch their new shot product, Captain Morgan Cannon Blast, Campfire came up with the idea for the Human Cannonball Bar Crawl—wherein a man shoots himself out of a giant cannon from bar to bar, with partying crowds and copious amounts of rum in tow.

Somewhat shockingly, Diageo said, “Let’s do it!” And so, as producers wrangled human cannonballs, city officials, and barkeeps to pull the thing off, I had the relatively simple task of outfitting the event to look like a Captain Morgan affair, creating the artwork for posters, print ads, banners, and signage along the street and inside participating drinking establishments.

Featuring human cannonball Brian Miser, the event utilized two custom-built cannons, each standing 30 feet high. On-the-ground promotion filled downtown Orlando to watch Brian be shot through the air at 65mph from one bar to another, and then another.
